Land Under New Ownership 

The land at Carr Green Lane opposite the Tennis Club was sold at auction on 21st February.

It had been put up for auction by Royalle Estates after repeated refusals for planning permission meant that their would-be development was no longer viable. 

Unconfirmed reports are that the land has been bought by a private local individual whose initial plans are to grow vegetables on it, with a view to possibly involving the school in the project. In the long-term the site may be used to develop an eco-house. We hope to have this news confirmed by June’s meeting.

The group welcomes the new owners to Carr Green Lane and is thankful for this seemingly very positive outcome.
